Wedding Film
We all were so excited to get an email yesterday with Jen & Adam's beautiful wedding film from Luke Goodman Cinematography. It is great to be able to share this with you only a month after their wedding at the Kohl Mansion. I will be sharing the photos with you all soon with links to all the amazing vendors that made this wedding so incredibly pretty!

at In Symmetry Spa
Recently I was invited to try out a new facial that might appeal to my clients, so being that I always like to only refer things I have tried for myself, I accepted the invitation. I was a little hesitant at first, as it is called an Acupuncture Facial, and it was going to take about 2.5 hours. It did sound nice to be away from my phone or computer for that long though, and the benefits that it touted were something I definitely wanted to try out. Here is a description of the service I had at In Symmetry Day Spa here in San Francisco:
" In Symmetry Day Spa is proud to announce our newest innovative skin care treatment, combining the wisdom of facial acupuncture with our signature organic facial. Our exclusive two-part treatment includes a 90-minute acupuncture session that works to balance the body's systems, along with focused micro-needling facial acupuncture to target fine lines, age spots, acne, acne scars, and other skin care concerns. This creates precise micro-channels in the upper most layer of the skin, allowing for deeper and more effective delivery of our organic skin care products, which are applied in the following 1-hour Customized Organic Facial. This treatment is relaxing, effective, and revolutionary.
Immediately after receiving the Acupuncture Facial, patients appear more relaxed and at ease - as if they've just returned from a vacation. Long-term benefits include: a healthier, brighter complexion; reduced under-eye circles, bags, and puffiness; fewer wrinkles; improved elasticity of facial muscles, and increased sparkle in the eyes".
I liked how the acupuncturist sat down with me for awhile and went over my entire health and skin history. She asked what I would rate my biggest skin concerns, and what would be my least. For me, I pointed out the lines around my eyes (which she very nicely pointed out only showed when I smiled :)!), sun damage on my forehead, and dark circles under my eyes were my top three. She had me lay down, and starting pinning away. I will admit, I love the benefits of acupuncture in general, but sometimes get a little uncomfortable lying there with needles in me. This time though, I completely relaxed, and even dozed off. The teeny tiny needles that go in the face are really cute, and you hardly feel them. some were bigger, but I didn't feel those either.
After I woke up, I was taken to another room to receive another part of the facial, which was a deeply relaxing and nourishing more traditional facial. She used a combination of masks, facial massage and left me completely glowing. I felt very taken care of in the spa, and the entire treatment, which as I mentioned was 2.5 hours, I barely could walk out on my own with how relaxed I was. I looked in the rear view mirror in my car, and saw that my eyes definitely looked brighter and I looked as if I had slept for 12 hours the night before.
I did notice that my skin looked brighter even for days afterward, and seemed to be smoother and less sun damaged. The lines around my eyes are hard to tell, as I think those will always be there since I do like to smile, so I will take that. But, all in all, this is definitely a service I would recommend to an upcoming bride that needs some time to check out and be completely taken care of and also walk out with some visible results.
Cheers,
Kathryn

Sts Peter & Paul Church & The Bently Resrve | Aug 11
Angie & Ben are such a sweet couple! Their wedding day was created with love and a truly elegant vision. The lovely couple met in Houston, while attending law school. The dashing Southern boy fell for the gorgeous California girl, and when it was time to plan their wedding, San Francisco was an easy decision.
Their ceremony was held at Sts Peter and Paul Church, on a beautiful Saturday in August. The reception followed at the Bently Reserve; the beauty of the venue was accentuated by stunning flowers and many thoughtful personal touches.
I truly enjoyed working with Angie & Ben, and their families. Enjoy their photos by Janae Shields!
Cheers,
Elise
