from Kathy Goodman at Well Rehearsed
As I have done many times before, I am again singing the praises of our dear friend, Kathy Goodman of Well Rehearsed! She never stops coming up with new things for her clients, and her recent creations are so adorable. She has created ready to go centerpieces that depict certain areas of San Francisco. These are great for rehearsal dinners (her specialty), especially when you have guests coming in from all over. Here are a few favorites from her collection:
Golden Gate Bridge (photo by Gustavo Fernandez)
Painted Ladies (photo by Sabine Scherer)
My favorite, and will hopefully be used at my rehearsal dinner coming up! (photo by Sabine Scherer)

For more information about Kathy, her services, and these centerpieces, make sure to check out her website. She is an amazing planner, and I am so thankful that she is taking care of my rehearsal dinner. I couldn't even imagine trying to have to plan that too!
Cheers,
Kathryn
Old St. Hilary's & Tavern at Lark Creek | Aug 27
We have been so busy at the DALD Studio preparing for all our fall weddings (we have three this weekend, including a rare Monday night wedding!), but I wanted to blog at least some of the recent work we have done. Thankfully, Adi Nevo just posted these photos on her blog from a wedding we did together at the end of August. They are simply a perfect reflection of Patty and Kenny's wedding day which started with a ceremony at Old St. Hilary's, had a Polynesian dance performance, and ended with a luncheon under the skylights at The Tavern at Lark Creek.
As soon as I receive the images, I will do a full real wedding post, but for now, I hope you enjoy these colorful images!
Cheers,
Kathryn
Priscilla of Boston | Now through 12.31.11
As most of you have probably heard, one of the largest bridal salons (Priscilla of Boston), is closing its doors on December 31, 2011. This is a very sad situation, as we hate in this industry to see others having to close their doors, but I am happy to hear they are doing it in a very professional way. We have some brides that have their dresses coming in from them in the next few months, and they have already reached out to them and will honor every order already placed.
If you still haven't purchased your gown, and want to look into a possible great deal (I have two brides that purchased their gowns from the clearance sale), take a look at their store locator, and see if there is a shop near you. It might be worth checking out!
Have a great week!
Kathryn
Can Can Cleanse | San Francisco
As I posted on Tuesday, my fiance and I decided to kick start our healthy eating and exercise plan for the wedding with the Can Can Cleanse. With a little over three months until our wedding, we didn't want to do something drastic at the last minute, and instead go gradually. This cleanse is only for three days, and includes teas, juices and soups, so you are never in starvation mode or feeling too weak.
Being someone with not the best willpower against food (I'm Greek, it is hard to turn down a great meal), I thought I wouldn't be able to make it. Thankfully I did, and I saw amazing results. I did lose 4.5 pounds (fiance lost five), my skin looks more radiant, and I slept ten hours each of the three nights. Without going into too much detail, as I mentioned, this isn't one of the cleanses that makes you sick. You can do all your normal activities, work, etc. I had a very busy week, and I had no problems at all.
I wasn't able to work out per my usual routine, but I did walk and do yoga. As of right now, I still haven't eaten (you kind of don't want to disturb the peace!), but I'm about to re-introduce my first solid food , a hard boiled egg. So excited!
The philosophy of this cleanse is to give your digestive system a rest, and to re-program your outlook on food. I went to the market yesterday to have meals for the weekend, and I was pulling things from the shelves that I would never have in the past.
If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area, I would definitely give Teresa's cleanse a try. I feel amazing, and I know that my system needed a bit of a detox. We have already decided we will be doing another round a week and a half before the wedding. It is a great thing to do with your beau, we would g-chat and text each other through the day. It was a fun experience! If you have any questions you don't want to leave on the blog, please email me directly kathryn {at} dreamalittledreamevents.com, or just leave a comment. As most who know me will say, I love to give my honest opinions!
We hope you all have a wonderful weekend, we are gearing up and packing cars for three wonderful weddings! I will be at the Presidio Log Cabin, Brittani will be at the Fairmont San Francisco, and Adrianna will be at the Tulip Garden & The Cliff House. Congrats to all our couples this weekend!
Cheers,
Kathryn
Calistoga | May 27
Alia and Josh were such an amazing couple to work with from the beginning. Their passion and their love showed through above all and I could not wait to be a part of their wedding celebration. Long-distance planning is never the easiest, especially while both bride and groom were in medical school. With a trip back west and many productive meetings paired with frequent phone check-ins, we were able to work together to create the amazing day that was the start to their wedding weekend.
Designing this wedding was amazing! Having a couple not afraid of bright colors and really wanting to fit into the wonderful spring environment gave Natalie Bowen and I the freedom to create a wonderful atmosphere for Alia, Josh, their family and friends. They chose to have a more free flowing reception with stationed food and cocktail seating paired with poolside cocktails, a Moroccan tent, cigar bar and the Motown funk band resulted in a wonderful energy and a celebration lasting late into the night.
See Alia and Josh's feature in the New York Times wedding section to get to know a bit more about this awesome couple. Alia and Josh's wedding was also featured on Wedding Chicks and stay tuned to the new season of Say Yes To The Dress this fall - Alia and her beautiful Claire Pettibone gown are going to be on the show!
Holding back the photos from this wedding by the fantastic Andrew Weeks was not the easiest thing for me; I am so happy to finally be sharing these images with everyone.
Enjoy!
