A Midsummer's Eve Affair | Saturday June 4
is combining two of our favorite things: Paper Source
products and Handmade Weddings, the book by the ladies at Hello Lucky
. It sounds fabulous, and if you have a local Paper Source store near you, I would register for this event as soon as possible.
You will be spending the afternoon doing make and take projects, with refreshments and raffles being held throughout the event. Learn how to make program fans, invitation layering and finishing techniques, envelope liners, hand stamped place cards and fresh favor ideas.
You may even be lucky enough to meet Eunice or Sabrina Moyle (the creative minds behind Hello Lucky), as they will be making an appearance at select locations. Space is limited, so make sure to get your space today!
*To add a little fun, we are going to be giving away a copy of the book - Handmade Weddings - to one random winner on Friday May 20th at 12pm PST. To enter, please leave a comment below with the city your wedding is taking place in, and that's it! We will email the winner directly.*
Featured on Style Me Pretty California
o very excited to share that Cristin & Matt's lovely winter wedding was featured on Style Me Pretty California
yesterday. Working with Melissa from A Simple Ceremony
was so much fun, as she can clearly work magic with succulents and mercury glass! Enjoy the post with images by What Shanni Saw
Check out their new line of event and wedding decor
e have been buzzing in the studio since the release of BHLDN
's new line of decor for weddings and events last week. I honestly cannot get enough of it! Their attire line had already given brides such a new and fresh option for their wedding and event gowns, but now with their decor line, it means having all these items in one place. It really makes putting together an inspiration board so much easier. You can make one simply by scrolling through the images of the items, and downloading them to your own board creator.
I decided to feature some of the images here all based on an outdoor woodsy wedding with bird accents. There were plenty of lovely items to choose from.
Whether you are adding just a small accent, or a lot of pieces, the BHLDN
website can definitely give you tons of inspiration.
On Infinet Design's Portfolio
he designers of our blog, Infinet Design
, were so amazing to work with, I not only wanted to give them a shout out, but to also share that our blog is now in their portfolio section
on their website. We couldn't be happier about the process with Brock and Dave, and I can't sing their praises enough!
We are so humbled by how our readership has grown since launching the new blog in late January, and are so excited to share new and exciting things that are happening here at the new Dream A Little Dream Events studio with you.
Thank you for reading, and as always, let us know if there are any specific questions or blog posts you would like to see in the future!
Marin County | April 30
am so excited to share with you a personal event, our engagement party! We hosted our party with my parents on April 30th (which turned out to be the most beautiful day so far this year) at their home in Marin County. We had to plan the engagement party before the wedding season was in full gear, and the wedding is planned for after the season, less than eight months from now.
At first we were planning to do something extremely simple; late afternoon cocktail party with just passed appetizers, and we would be done. March came along, and Joe and I changed our minds as we were driving past Sol Food Puerto Rican Cuisine in San Rafael, and we both said, "let's do that!". So, all of a sudden, our engagement party turned to a Puerto Rican theme with lots of color, Buena Vista Social Club on the stereo, great food and lots of drinks! It was so much fun to put together, especially since it is completely opposite of what our wedding will be like.
We picked the menu with Sol Food
and the appetizers with Thomas John Events
. Everything tied into the theme. I met with Natalie Bowen
to talk about the flowers, and staying with lots of color and bright tropical blooms. She is so great that all I had to do was give her the theme, and she would create something magical! Hartmann Studios
has so much to choose from for furnishings, I decided to go with an outdoor resort style lounge in the front of the house, and more cabana cigar bar lounges in the back of the house, and use my parents existing furniture in the main floor of the home.
My sister was amazing with making all the signage for the bar and the drink stirrers for our signature drink, a Mojito, served in mason jar glasses. The drink stirrers had Salute on one side and Yiasas on the other, which both translate to Cheers! in Greek and Italian. The other little homage to our heritages was the Peroni Italian beer and the Mythos Greek beer served at the bar.
Night Owl Photo Booth
was literally the hit of the party, and it was one of the best photo booths I have seen. The picture quality was perfect, and our guests got to take home photo strips instantly. Maybe I will share some of those images in a future post. ; )
There were 125 of our closest friends and family there, and we honestly had one of the best days of our lives. We didn't want it to end, and I know the wedding will feel the same. I hope you enjoy this peek into our party with the beautiful images from Adi Nevo

Thank you for letting me share such an important day with all of you. Salute, Yiasas, Cheers!
