lexis and Emilio were way too much fun to work with! Their wedding was nothing short of being perfect from start to finish. Their vision was simple, and they let me take the reins, and help design a Log Cabin wedding that would fit into their style and keep guests comfortable. We took the colors of orange, sage green and cream with touches of wood elements and succulents, and made her vision come to life.
With rustic wooden benches for the ceremony overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge and the city skyline, the crisp September weather was a wonderful setting for this laid back couple. The styling that Melissa with A Simple Ceremony did throughout the event with me was stunning, and she always takes a little bit of a risk, but it always comes out looking fresh, and never trendy.
The family style meal served by Jersey Tomatoes had guests raving before they danced late into the evening to the nicest band we've ever worked with, The Indestructibles. We hope you enjoy this glimpse into their wedding day with images from Gertrude and Mabel
or those brides looking for a simple gown, J. Crew is always one of the best spots to find them. Whether it is a beachfront wedding or a simple city hall service, these gowns can fit into many categories. Even more so this week, when they have an amazing sale going on. If this is the style dress you are looking for, I highly suggest checking out their sale
going on now through Thursday Jan 19th.
e absolutely love BHLDN
here, and we couldn't be happier to hear that their second store is opening on February 14, 2012 in Chicago! We already have one of our brides heading out for her appointment next month, so if you were looking at any of the BHLDN gowns, try and make your way to either the Chicago or Houston store. They are already taking appointment requests.
Their gowns are unique and undeniably beautiful, so if you get a chance to visit either store, let us know, we would love to hear about your experience!
t is always funny to open your office mail after being on your mini-honeymoon, and look at a magazine cover for a minute and admire it, only to realize that it is a wedding you designed! This happens a lot in this industry, as different vendors get featured for numerous reasons, and this magazine was doing a story on rethinking design, and new innovations. They featured the wonderful florist from Leora and Adam's wedding I planned last fall, Natasha from Waterlily Pond, and chose this installation as the feature story. It was a beautiful wedding, and you can re-visit the entire wedding here
, as I posted their full wedding on our blog last year.
Thank you Event Solutions for featuring such a lovely wedding!
arivic and John were such a fun couple to work with! Marivic is energetic and knows exactly what she wants, while John is detail oriented and adores Marivic. The two of them together (literally every email, planning and design meeting included both of them) had the wedding day that they always hoped for. Their ceremony took place at the beautiful Wilhelmina Tulip Garden right under the historic windmill, which set the tone for their invitations (John's idea!), designed by Hello Lucky. The reception followed at the Cliff House Restaurant with a picture perfect view and gorgeous sunset. Marivic and John love San Francisco and made sure that was obvious through their choice in venues and details throughout the wedding.
We had so much fun putting together their design board which captured their personalities and helped bring everything to life. Other fun details you would have seen at their wedding were Jones Sodas with custom labels, red and white stripped straws from paper source, homemade ribbon sticks, sparklers, silver sparkly Toms as bridesmaids gifts, quirky purple striped socks for the groom, engraved flasks for the groomsmen, and, the list goes on.... they really wanted to make sure every aspect of their wedding was personalized- which I love!
I am so excited to share these photos with you taken by the lovely Julie with Kate Webber Photography
