Katie & Greg came in to meet with me for a consultation, and weren't really sure on where they should have their wedding. After listening to them and talking over what their main wants for their wedding were, I suggested a few locations, and one being the Presidio Social Club. It fit all their expectations to a T; restaurant quality dinner service, all inclusive of rentals, etc., and a place where their out of town guests could feel like they were really experiencing San Francisco. They ended up going by on their way out of our meeting that night, as I suggested they try it out, and have a nice dinner either way. They ended up loving it, and we booked it a few weeks later. The planning from there was simple, they knew I was going to bring them the vendors that matched up with their wants for their wedding, and it was a very easy process.
Things got a little complicated only when I found out the Golden Gate Bridge had announced that their 75th birthday party celebration was going to be that same Sunday evening over Memorial Day Weekend, and the entire Presidio was going to be closed. One might think I panicked, but I knew it would be okay. We had 80 guests, so I knew I could get them in on two shuttles, which we did. I had to arrange to get permits for all the vendors to enter, and explain which gates they could enter through. The guests got to even enjoy a close up seat to the incredible fireworks show off the Golden Gate Bridge as the night was ending. It was a beautiful night caught by the always fabulous Adi Nevo.
